Frequently asked

NYC airport questions

Which New York airport should I use?

It depends on your destination and what you value. For long-haul international or the West Coast, use JFK or Newark; for short domestic trips where speed to Midtown matters, LaGuardia is often best. Our airport picker ranks the three for your specific trip.

Why can't LaGuardia fly to the West Coast nonstop?

A 1,500-mile perimeter rule bars most LGA nonstops beyond that distance, with narrow exceptions for Denver and Saturdays. West Coast trips run nonstop from JFK or Newark instead.

What's the cheapest transit from each airport to Manhattan?

From JFK, AirTrain ($8.75) plus the subway; from LaGuardia, the free Q70 bus plus the subway; from Newark, AirTrain plus NJ Transit. The transit cheat-sheet in our toolkit has the full picture.

Is it risky to connect between two NYC airports?

Yes — switching airports is a self-transfer, not a protected connection. You re-claim and re-check bags and a missed onward flight on a separate ticket isn't covered. Allow a half-day buffer and use a flight-tracked car.

Do you provide car service to the airports?

Yes. We operate a 24/7 ground-transport desk covering JFK, LaGuardia, Newark and Teterboro, with flight tracking and meet-and-greet. Call (888) 420-0177 any time.
